Roadside Picnic

Photography, documentation and observations from post-disaster zones. Chernobyl, Fukushima and beyond.

Destiny is the individual’s life; history is the life of all of us.
— Svetlana Alexievitch

Since 2012 I regularly travel to the Chernobyl exclusion zone. In 2015 I was allowed to visit Fukushima and Hiroshima.

I document places, objects and people affected by large-scale technological disasters. My work is intended for education, remembrance and research.
